Bağla nestles 14 kilometres away from the city of Bodrum in one of the most beautiful coves on the southern peninsula. The dazzling cove to the west of Bağla Cape with its beautiful beaches is popular
with boat tours and the region is an excellent place to camp.
There is a quieter small island on the east of the cove that used to be a summer resort for the natives of Bodrum. There are mandarin orchards and a stone pool containing good quality water, surrounded by pine trees. The natives used to come here on small boats to swim and relax in the open air. There is a hotel there now. Bağla Cove also offers pristine views of the sea-bottom even far from the coast, and the cove also contains artifacts from several civilizations.
