The original fortress, located in the centre, was restored by the Ottomans. There is a Caravanserai near the fortress, built by Süleyman the Magnificent, which has been converted into a hotel.

The traditional thermal baths and mud baths around Ilica are popular. The most well known is located on Sifne Bay. Wellness fans really get their money's worth here. You will find extremely good accommodation, restaurants, sports and entertainment facilities, and it is also possible to go to the Greek island of Chios on one of the daily ferries.

Ilica, the most popular holiday resort of Cesme, boasts a pretty, golden, sandy beach and the outstanding facilities of Altinyunus Marina. İt is the ideal place for windsurfing and sailing and it is very likely you will be greeted by dolphins with a cheerful smile.

There is an International Windsurfing Race held every year in Alacati, Cesme. In addition, a windsurfing school holds courses for beginners. On the hill of Alacati, which is a delightfully typical Aegean town, old windmills are dotted around, some of them having been converted into dazzling restaurants.

Dalyankoy nestles in a sheltered deep water inlet in the northern part of Cesme. İt is well known as a fishing village. The best fish restaurants of the region dominate the quay of its busy and active marina.

Ciftlikkoy attracts people with its long, sandy Diamond Beach (Pirlanta Plaji), irresistible blue water and lots of accommodation. İt is located outside of the town to the south west. The Golden Beach (Altinkum Plaji),one of the best beaches in Cesme, stretches to the south. This is where the camping facilities are.
