As already mentioned in the page about hospitals and medical treatment, the qualifications and the equipment available to Turkish doctors is comparable to those found in Europe. The biggest advantage with European doctors is the price for treatment and medicine.
We hope that nobody using this webpage for information will find it necessary to ask for any medical help, but if so, there should be no problem finding a doctor or hospital.
You need to know that your medical treatment has to be paid for! When your treatment is finished you will immediately get the bill. If you are going to Turkey for medical treatment, you should talk to your insurance company in advance and get the relevant paperwork that shows that you are insured. This is important, because the doctor over here then knows that you will claim the money back on your insurance, so the bill will be written in the way your insurance company needs it.
Some insurance companies will give you help and advice if you talk to them about your plans. All insurance companies need to save money whenever possible, so why not try talking to them?
