Station “0” – Pielenhofen Campsite in Bavaria

The Naabtal-Pielenhofen campsite was recommended to us as one of the most beautiful places in Eastern Bavaria, as it is located directly on the Naab, framed by meadows and forests.

We needed a pleasant place to stay in order to plan, prepare and implement the upcoming German-Turkish cultural festival as part of our project “Comprehension-Cultural Trip along Roman Roads” and, if we liked, we wanted to use the place as a starting point for the planned camper route across the Balkans Include the south, especially for wintering, especially since there are particularly worth seeing destinations in the area that can be hiked and/or cycled: old cathedral city of Regensburg, Walhalla, Hall of Liberation, Danube Gorge, stalactite cave, robber baron's castle and much more.

Some Infos about Naabtal-Pielenhofen campsite

campingplatz pielenhofen06The Pielenhofen campsite developed from the Einödhof Distelhausen near Pielenhofen. It is proven that the Bach family controlled the history of this farm for around 300 years. At the end of the 1950s, excursionists from Regensburg came to Distelhausen and Pielenhofen to swim and frolic in the meadows by the river. After initial anger that these areas had become unusable for agricultural purposes, the campsite founders Ludwig and Anna Bach made a virtue of necessity. The idea of a tourism company was born. In 1959 the foundation stone for the now greatly expanded campsite was laid.

The Naabtal-Pielenhofen campsite today offers a wide range of leisure activities for young and old, let's start with: Swimming in the Naab - boating and canoeing - fishing - hiking - cycle paths - large children's playground - summer stock runs - tennis - sauna - solarium - Bavarian beer garden, with which the The best possible care for the guests is guaranteed by the restaurant.

Sanitary facilities at the Pielenhofen campsite

The campsite has three sanitary buildings, a disabled washroom and a baby changing room. Sanitary building 1 was recently lovingly renovated and comfortably furnished. Then the baby changing room was added.
