Bars and Cafes

E-mail Print PDF

barWhile walking through the streets of bigger Turkish towns during the day, you may notice the variety of restaurants, bars and cafes, some animatedly trying to get your custom.

As soon as it starts getting dark and all the lights start shining, the picturesque and colourful atmosphere increases.

Nearly every year, shortly before the new season starts again, lots of new names appear on restaurants, bars or cafés. Even if they had been renovated last year, lots of restaurants will also reopen with a completely new design.

In most tourist towns you will find typical small Turkish tea kitchens, where only tea is served and people play backgammon, next to high–tech, air–conditioned cafes, traditional looking English pubs and French or Italian street cafes where Café au Lait, Cappucino or Café Macciato is served, sometimes with fast food as well.

You can visit restaurants which offer menus from all over the world. Some of them offer the cuisine of a particular country, others offer full Turkish cuisine, in a huge variety of different menus, all of high quality. And next to them, you may find a typical soup bar, open all night long. The range on offer is so enormous, you need plenty of stamina to visit just some of them!

After 11 pm, many restaurants become night bars, where you can spend the time with a well known long drink listening to the sound of live or disco music to finish off your night out. If this is still not enough for you, there will be several discos awaiting your pleasure.

See you somewhere!

Discotheques

In most of the touristical places along the beaches there is a temperamental atmosphere of cafes, bars and discos in the centre of the towns. Different lights are to be seen everywhere, different languages, styles of music and all of it really loud, that's modern city life. Even good hotels have an own nightlife program with bars and show parts for their guests to spend the night inside of hotel area. The quality of such programs is completely different, some are really professional, some are boring.

Night Life

Who likes to watch different faces and likes to learn people from all over the world, should spend the night out, if visiting a bigger town. There is a huge variety of different bars which offer outside drinks on their terraces with loud live music of European or Turkish origin until late at night. You can find show programs for your entertainment, typical Turkish bally dance as well as just classical background music.

All bigger cities have such a huge offer that there must be something interesting for everyone. Lots of discos and night bars where you can have party all night long.

Like in most of cheap holiday places there is a mixture of house and techno music as dominant style mixed with traditional Turkish music as well as with modern Turkish music being played.

There is "ballerman" not only in Spain. Enjoy the night out. Make your party.
