Bargain Textiles
All travellers coming to Turkey know them very well: the Textile Bazaars.
A huge variety of T-shirts, pullovers, jackets, socks, trousers, jeans and much more is on sale for really low prices, from little more than tin-covered stands on the market. All well-known designs are on sale.
But be careful: If you believe what is written on the labels and price tags, you may feel cheated. About 95 % of all textiles on the Bazaar are copies. It is important to say that these copies are well done and of excellent quality and so you may not see any difference from the original product.
For the trendy children of this world the Bazaar is like El Dorado, lots of well known, fashionable clothes for comparatively little money. Buying things like that here means you save money, so the cost of your flight and accommodation will be offset a little.
Lots of visitors to Turkey know about this and they do their textile shopping while on holiday here. Complete families do it. There seems to be a tradition established already that, in the autumn, lots of young people come over here to stock up on all the latest fashions.
When you come to Turkey, a Bazaar is always open and easy to find.
