Travel Turkey İzmir 2010- Tourism Exhibition and Conference - will be organized at the İzmir International Exhibition Center between 9 – 12 December 2010 in cooperation with İZFAŞ, Türkiye Seyahat Acentaları Birliği (TÜRSAB) and Hannover-Messe International İstanbul. The event will gather national and international professionals from tourism industry. Being among the leading tourism organizations of Turkey, Travel Turkey İzmir will attract the interests of the national and international exhibitors and visitors.
Over 500 companies from 15 countries will take part at Travel Turkey İzmir 2010 Tourism Exhibition and Conference. The exhibitors are ready to welcome national and international tourism investors, agencies, purchasers and end users making holiday plans.
This year, bigger interest and participation from Greek islands is remarkable. Many companies from Midilli, Chios and Samos islands will be participating. In addition to Greece, Croatia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Jordan, Kosova, Macedonia, Northern Cyprus, South Africa, Syria, Tunisia will exhibit with 35 companies.
Travel Turkey İzmir has more enhanced content this year. New and special sections including ‘Boutique Hotels’, ‘Adventure, Sports and Diving Tourism’ and ‘Health Tourism’ have been introduced to Travel Turkey İzmir this year.
Ordu and Osmaniye will be the ‘Partner Cities’, while Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia, will be the ‘International Partner City’ at the event. In addition, Thailand, Macedonia, Libya, Iraq, Tanzania, Ethiopia, as well as East Anatolia, Karacadağ and Northeast Development and Promotion Agencies will attend the event for the first time this year.
Within the scope of the Travel Turkey İzmir 2010 Tourism event, purchasers and tourism media from the tour operators and travel agencies operating in Greece, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Qatar, Kosovo, Russia, Italy, Egypt, Bosnia-Herzegovina, United Arab Emirates and Iran are invited to the event to cooperate with the exhibiting companies under the ‘Hosted Buyer Program’.
In frame of this special program, international purchasers will have the opportunity to meet and talk with tourism managers in a special designated workshop area established for the event. This feature of the event will enable national and international tourism managers to network on a professional platform and provide them the opportunity to sign contracts that will increase the tourism income of their country. The program is sponsored by Turkish Airlines and Grand Efes Swissotel. It is anticipated that international purchasers from a total of 21 destinations will attend to this program.The event will introduce different destinations from around Turkey and the world to travel lovers from different cities, particularly the people living in İzmir. During the last two days of the exhibition, exhibitors will target the public visitors as well and organize special events.
Organized under the patronage of “Ministry of Culture and Tourism”, the event was attended by 435 companies from 17 countries last year. The event was visited by 14.829 people from 36 countries.
