TRAVEL TURKEY IZMIR'S
PARTNER COUNTRY IN 2011 IS NETHERLANDS
Countdown continues for the professional tourism fair of Turkey, TRAVEL TURKEY IZMIR 2011. The partner country for TRAVEL TURKEY IZMIR which will be held between the dates of 8 – 11 December 2011. The Consultation Council formed in the scope of the fair preparations, carried out its first meeting of this year. Netherlands has been decided to be the partner country this year.
Consultation Council of Travel Turkey İzmir 2011, which is organized by İZFAŞ, HANNOVER MESSE INTERNATIONAL and TÜRSAB, was carried out under the chairmanship of Chairman of TURSAB Board of Directors Başaran Ulusoy in the Izmir International Fair Zone. IZFAS General Manager Doğan İşleyen, Hannover Messe International Istanbul Assistant General Manager Ufuk Altıntop, TÜRSAB Izmir BYK President Rıza Gençay and Netherlands Izmir Honorary Consul Karel Dutilh and many sector representatives attended.
TÜRSAB Chairman of the Board of Directors Başaran Ulusoy, in the speech he made, said "they carried out brochure distribution to over 50 museums affiliated with TURSAB in the scope of the promotion works of the fair. Also, in the abroad visits of TURSAB, promotions were made in over 40 countries".
In the meeting where Netherlands İzmir Honorary Consul Karel Dutilh attended too, Netherlands' partner country request was evaluated. With the mutual views of the sector representatives, it was decided for Netherlands to be the 2011 Travel Turkey Izmir Fair partner country.
Dulith, who stated that the year 2011 is the 400th year of the beginning of the Turkey Netherlands relationship, expressed the happiness of being the partner country in the fair.
In the Travel Turkey Izmir Fair consultation council which its targeted to be a more comprehensive and outshines with the density of the international visitors in the year 2011, general views and suggestions of the sector representatives about the fair were given place to.
TRAVEL TURKEY IZMIR which works to bring in new locations to the tourism sector and contribute to the country publicity, this year comes one more step closer to its purpose. Target countries for the hosted buyers to be brought from abroad to Travel Turkey Izmir 2011 Tourism Fair are determined.
The fair which will be held between the dates of 8 – 11 December 2011 will promote the tourism prosperities of all Turkey with Izmir as priority, different destinations, to local and foreign tourism investors, agencies, buyers and last consumers making holiday plans. The fair, like every year, will host many buyers from surrounding countries this year.
585 exhibitors from 17 countries attended the fair which is prepared under the structure of Ministry of Tourism and Culture last year. 15.963 tourism professionals from 30 countries and 51 cities visited the fair.
İZFAŞ General Manager Doğan İşleyen, stated that they are very glad to be the host of Travel Turkey İzmir and underlined that the fair will provide important contributions to Izmir tourism. İşleyen, said "we are working in cooperation with Hannover Messe International and TURSAB for Izmir and Turkey's tourism to develop. This year we will concentrate more on the international attendance. For this purpose, for the first time, promotions were made by visiting the fairs in Netherlands and Germany".
The Deputy Manager of Hannover-Messe International Istanbul Ufuk Altıntop also added: "Hannover Messe International Istanbul organizes 16 exhibitions together with its partners. Travel Turkey Izmir exhibition became a platform having exhibitors from more than 50 cities of Turkey and concerns all professionals in the tourism sector."
