The difference in the quality of materials in Turkey is as great as it is in Europe. You always have the choice between really cheap products which quite often have faults, or the better ones, which will certainly be a little more expensive but will be well-known makes. More and more products from Europe are used in the Turkish market; quite a lot of firms have established branches here already. The more information you can get about materials and prices, the better. Lots of ?friends? may try to help. Some are genuine friends but others will have organized a deal with the shop owners so they get a percentage of the sale without you knowing it. To be sure you are not being cheated, ask for a detailed and written quote, which you can get from all reliable shops to include all materials and fitting costs plus tax. Like anywhere else in the world, make sure this quote is valid by getting it signed and stamped.
