Yivli Minaret

Yivli Minaret (the Fluted Minaret), the top of this well known minaret can be seen from most places in Antalya. It was built by Sultan Alä üd?Din Keyubat in 1219 during the Seldjuk era. Next to this very high minaret there is the religious centre of Antalya, with the religious school next to it.

Whenever you are in Antalya, don't miss the market, with as much fruit and vegetables as you can imagine, not forgetting the fish, all fresh daily. If you like, you can have the fish freshly grilled, and everywhere there is the wonderful aroma of spices.
