Avsallar

About 20 miles away from Alanya centre, Avsallar is the quickest growing small town in the area with, about 9.000 inhabitants at the moment. Many smaller, older hotels and some really big new hotel complexes of different categories are the main signs that Avsallar is a typical tourist town. All along the main road are lots of small shops selling carpets, gold, textile products, safaris and day trips to the well known sights, as well as the usual daily foods. More or less all needs are catered for. If there is anything you are not able to get in Avsallar, there is a regular bus service, going to Alanya several times a day.

There are many restaurants and bars open from early morning to late at night, offering well known Turkish cuisine as well as European dishes.
All around Avsallar are huge areas of forest which in some parts go down to the beach. A really relaxing day can start with a walk through the forest inhaling its natural essences. Horse riding is also a popular activity around the town.

The wonderful beaches are covered with fine, deep, brown sand so they are extremely safe for families with smaller children. The average temperature of about 27 ° degrees in summer means there is warm water which makes the beaches a paradise for all who love water and water games.
