Hjördis Baacke Forest - at Galerie Rothamel Erfurt
- Written by Portal Editor
Hjördis Baacke and Galerie Rothamel - We cordially invite you and your friends to the opening with the artist on Saturday, 29 November, at 8 p.m.
Hjördis Baacke paints forests. Realistically, with a special focus on light, which sometimes makes her canvases appear impressive.
Since the Corona years, at the latest, the forest has once again become a place of refuge and longing. The new uncertainty and increasing strangeness in cities also contribute to this: interest in this unique biotope is booming.
The human desire to shape the world urgently needs to be reconciled with the natural systems that have balanced themselves over millions of years and brought us into being. Not in the sense of escapism, but rather a return to learning and observing. Forest paintings, which were considered obsolete for over a century, are now highly topical again.
Enjoy the exhibition and do little sight-seeing along Krämerbrücke and old town once being in Erfurt.
