Hike to the rock formation "needle" in Kastraki - Meteora

Early the next morning we made our way to the top of the rocks above the village of Kastraki, which is a famous destination for climbers because of its level of difficulty (needle in the center of the picture).
Very noticeable from the distance, there is a trail from the Campsite Vrachos up to the needle leading through the village.
However, the large number of photographs slowed us strongly, so we were only getting uphill slowly.
The blooming splendor now in the early summer caused some further intermediate stops, .......
But these are the moments to enjoy life.
Then again the view of the massive rock walls, which rise impressively steep up to 100 meters along the way.
Here, too, an intermediate stop to the inner retreat.
A little later a small chapel along the road.
And the view back to the village of Kastraki.
Then again flowers, which have found their place in rock and gravel, or .....
In the grass area next to it, ......
or even with an animal collecting nectar.
The late spring is an enjoyable season, ....
For animal and plant life, no question.
A wonderful landscape!
