Brunn am Gebirge - The Roman Days at the Local History Museum are now underway. They are meticulously organized by Dr. Robert Krickl with the support of his family and many friends.

The most important aspect of this festival is the public premiere of new ideas or scientific findings related to the town and its inhabitants. In this case, it's the reconstruction of a Roman costume based on the artifacts found on the aforementioned gravestone in the museum.

The event takes place in the Local History Museum in Brunn am Gebirge, a medieval farmhouse with a traditional courtyard, making it an excellent venue for the Roman Days. The building also serves as a local history museum, which houses a small collection of Roman artifacts.

The local coin collection from Roman times plays a significant role in this collection, as we will explain in more detail in a later report.

To mark the opening of this year's Roman Days, Julius Niederreiter, head and chairman of the Brunner Heimathaus Association, will give a few introductory remarks.

Representing the mayor, Deputy Mayor Gerhard Feichter will deliver the greetings from the town of Brunn am Gebirge to the visitors of the Roman Days.

Following some introductory remarks by Dr. Robert Krickl...

...the second Deputy Mayor, Matthias Müller, will conclude the series of greetings.

And so, the Roman Days can begin. All the vendors present have thoroughly explored the theme of the Romans, offering wines made according to Roman recipes, sweetened with honey, ...

...as well as dishes prepared according to Roman recipes and compositions. In short, everything presented here fits together perfectly. In addition, there will be continuous guided tours of the grounds and lectures on various topics, all of which are related to the Brunn am Gebirge region.

Here, Dr. Michael Götzinger, representing the Wienerwald Museum Eichgraben, presented the coin finds on display in the museum. This is another topic we will discuss in more detail later.

In addition to the local history museum, other buildings are involved in the Roman Festival, including the church in Brunn, which features several display panels on "Christians in the Roman Empire" as well as traditional liturgical vestments.
