Thessalonica Book Fair is a fair for booksellers and book lovers. Publishers from all over the world publish their latest publications.

The trade show has its focus every year on a different country whose literature is particularly well presented. There is also a special section for children, the entrance is free.

The Thessalonica Book Fair will take place this year on 4 days from Thursday, 11 May to Sunday, 14 May.

The past, 13th International Book Fair on the exhibition grounds in Thessalonica under the motto "refugees then and now" was quite successful. Within this framework, the historical dimensions of the violent movements of populations should be dealt with. There was a themed book exhibition, panel discussions, book presentations, a photo exhibition and film screenings in collaboration with the International Film Festival Thessalonica.

In 2016 the host country was Russia, during the Russian year in Greece and the Greek year in Russia. On a 500 square meter stand were presented the Russian literature and culture, the latest cultural and literary currents in Russia, animated films and others.

In addition, a festival of young writers and a translation festival took place at the Book Fair. At the Book Fair, publishers from Germany, France, Italy, Canada, China, Ukraine, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania and Albania were represented.
