Rio Book - "Music in Another Dimension" is the bible for whisky kids – stylishly packaged like a vinyl record: Over 200 pages, the book is dedicated to the discotheque "Whisky a Gogo" and its owner, DJ Rio de Luca,

who has run the business for over 40 years and still does (whisky kids: I definitely don't mean the drink of the same name).

The esteemed reader may initially wonder what could be so special about a discotheque, whether named "Whisky" or with a DJ named "Rio," that it could become a worthwhile book on the contemporary history of the 70s and 80s and should be published. Perhaps the mere fact that the "shop," as Rio himself describes it, has been around for more than 40 years is enough? After all, what discotheque can claim that!

Perhaps also because the third generation of visitors now lingers in the discotheque, and Rio has always maintained his musical direction despite multiple stylistic shifts in the direction of music in the media and in the tastes of the audience, thus becoming a cult figure of classic rock (a slogan right on the record shelf: Helene Fischer - No thanks)?

Or perhaps also because the book provides a deep insight into the musical development of the 70s and 80s, which, in its entirety, along with politics and social changes, contributed significantly to the development of today's democracy in Germany.

From the perspective of Rio's companions and his guests, the A-side (of the book) offers insights into the 60s and 70s: the lives of the young people, their musical world, and their perspective on the phenomenon of whisky in Wittmund. The B-side invites you to "listen" to Rio himself – he vividly describes his own life journey under the banner of "music in another dimension."
