Marubi Museum - The exhibition brings for the first time to Shkodër the collection of Palokë Lacë, an early merchant of the city, whose artifacts are preserved in the archives of the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest.

In dialogue with objects from the ethnographic collection of the Institute of Anthropology and unpublished images from the archive of the Marubi Museum, the exhibition narrates the visual history of the Shkodër Bazaar, which for decades influenced the cultural and economic life of the city.

A special space is also dedicated to textile designer Jozef Martini, with his jacquard weaving offering a contemporary approach to traditional Shkodran motifs.

The exhibition project was realized in collaboration with the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, the Embassy of Hungary in Tirana, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Tirana, the Albanian National Film Archive, the Municipality of Shkodër, and was supported by the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.

After the exhibition opening, you are invited to the Shkodra Elektronike concert on the Pedestrian Street – their first performance in Albania, following their success at Eurovision.

From the Legjenda campsite to the Marubi Museum

We've known about the Marubi Museum for over 10 years, as Linda from the Legjenda campsite first drew our attention to the Photography Museum and shortly thereafter introduced us to the museum's director. At that time, it was one of the first exhibitions on the subject of photography of the famous people of the Shkodra region. Naturally, it has always been of particular interest to us to follow the development of this very special museum, especially since new exhibitions are constantly being added, each of which seeks to showcase special themes.

If you are visiting Shkodra during your vacation or for whatever reason, please plan some time for the museum. It's always worth it.
