It should also be mentioned that the architect Carlo Scarpa planned the three-function campsite in 1957: an entrance building, a bar and restaurant building and the washroom block. Carlo Scarpa was one of the most important representatives of the organic architecture influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright in Italy. Through his teaching, but also through his designs and projects, he shaped the architecture of the 20th century. Especially through the additive joining of the new to the old, Scarpa's buildings set new standards in dealing with a historical building substance, which were later also of importance for German architects.

Several times a day there is a ferry service from the local pier to Venice, which can be reached from the campsite in a few minutes on foot. Ask at reception about the departure times.

Also interesting is the promenade along the campsite, where the huge ferries to Greece come almost within reach of the promenade.
