Dilek Peninsula National Park
The Dilek Peninsula National Park, known locally as Milli Park, offers a haven of peace and serenity away from the bustle of the city. On the way to the National Park you will find a large farm with many sorts of birds, sheep and many horses.
The farm provides horseriding, wonderful scenery and the chance to enjoy a meal in the restaurant serving traditional Turkish Cuisine.
This national park is situated on the Dilek Peninsula 30 kilometres south of Kuşadası and is the most well-protected area in the region. There are some small bays in the national park worth seeing. It is possible to reach the park by local bus. The mountains around the bay are covered with pine trees and in order to reach Kalamaki Beach you need to drive down through the pine forest. The water quality is excellent here and food and drink is available along the natural beach. This well protected area provides different activities such as swimming in the crystal-clear water, sunbathing and relaxing on the beach, hiking in the mountains and forest and having picnics under the shade of the trees by the beach.
The park contains three beaches which are definitely a paradise for visitors. Those who like sandy beaches will prefer the first one on the right. Picnic tables are dotted about and a cafe-restaurant, sunloungers, showers and toilets are all available here. Those who like rocky shores will enjoy swimming in the waters of the rocky bays reached after the first beach.
The other two beaches in the natural park are pebbly. Sunloungers, umbrellas, toilets and shower facilities, cafes and restaurants are all available there.
