Kuşadası Beaches -choose between sand and rock

Kuşadası Strände

Kuşadası Beaches - It is possible to find various sandy or rocky beaches all around the town of Kuşadası. Some of them are private beach clubs where you have to pay an entrance fee to use the facilities and some are free public beaches.

Some are pebble beaches. The number of blue flags at a beach symbolizes the quality of the water.

Three flags means the cleanest water.

The most popular beaches are Ladies Beach, Kalamaki Beach in the national park, Kuştur Beach and Pamucak Beach.

Kuşadası Beaches - Ladies Beach

kusadasi 03The most popular and busiest beach during the summer season is the Ladies Beach which has given its name to the nearby part of town. The 1-kilometre long beach is within walking distance of the town of Kuþadasý but, those who prefer, a local minibus services is available from the city centre.
The fine sandy beach offers changing rooms, sunbeds, umbrellas, shower and toilet facilities. Those who like water sports will find them here. The area just across the street is occupied by many hotels and restaurants which offer excellent service and dishes for visitors. The street is good for those who want to walk and watch the sunset because no motor vehicles are allowed.

Behind the hotels there are the summer houses, usually belonging to the locals, small pensions and a small bazaar where traditional and modern handicrafts are available.
Every Sunday during the summer the area becomes very crowded with Turkish holidaymakers. It is a region of Kuşadası which should not be missed.

Green Beach

The sandy Green Beach is near the Ladies Beach area. It is a small, quiet beach lined with palm trees. After swimming in the clear water you can either lie on the fine sand or on the grass in the shade of  the trees. During the summer, especially on Sundays, it gets busy with local holidaymakers.

Kuşadası Beaches - Kuştur Beach

kusadasi 01This beach is located five kilometres to the north of the town centre. It is probably one of the most popular beaches in the Kuşadası region. The local bus service is available until midnight.
The Kuştur is one of the cleanest beaches in the region and offers showers, toilets, sunbeds and umbrellas. Water sports and a beach volleyball court will attract those who like an active  holiday. The area around the beach, with its one kilometre sandy shore, was renovated by the local authority in 2000 to make the area more attractive for holiday makers. There are also pebbly areas near the water’s edge. The lovely cafes and restaurants become busy during the lively evenings. The beach gets busy with local holidaymakers on Sundays in the summer.

Do not hesitate to visit this area and see at least one sunset from the beach. It is a wonderful experience. The sea is suitable for those who like to relax in the clear water and also those who like playing in the waves because it is usually calm in the mornings and livelier in the afternoons.

Pamucak Beach

kusadasi 08This five kilometre long beach is 10 kilometres from the town of Kusadasi. The beach is 80 metres wide. Along the beach there are a couple of five-star hotels offering good facilities and water sports activities. The Küçük Menderes River flows across Pamucak Beach into the sea. The beach is used by horse and camel riding groups organized by tour companies from the centre of Kusadasi.
The beach is busy on Sundays, especially with local holidaymakers but, due to its size, it does not look too crowded.

Kuşadası Beaches - Long Beach

kusadasi 05This 6 kilometre long beach is only 6 km to the south of Kusadasi and can be reached by local minibus. During the summer the area is busy with local holidaymakers as well as tourists. The coast is lined with hotels, summer houses and nice restaurants offering fresh fish and meat dishes. Along the long sandy beach there are pretty cafes to have a cold drink and also sunbeds, shower and toilet facilities. The clean, refreshing water in this area is ideal for swimming. The fine sandy beach is ideal for peaceful relaxation and sunbathing. Those who like water sports will enjoy the water skiing, parasailing and jet skiing.

Snake Cape

kusadasi 06This is actually a tiny peninsula to the left of Pigeon Island very close to the town centre. The peninsula has two beaches, one on the south-west and the other on the north. Sunbeds, umbrellas and some pretty cafes and restaurants can be found on one of the beaches. The other one is rocky and does not provide sunbeds or any other facilities. It is called Yeþilhamam (Greenbath) and is actually a small rocky cove rather than a beach. It is a good place for those who like being close to nature and climbing on the rocks. Another way of getting there is to take a boat trip which can be booked in the town centre.
