CMT - Soon, everything at the CMT in Stuttgart will revolve around caravanning and travel once again. At the world's largest public trade fair for tourism and leisure, 1,550 exhibiting companies will present their offerings at the start of the year

CMT - Partner Country Angola Promises Diverse Adventures
Angola is the partner country at CMT for the first time in 2026 and presents itself as a travel destination with rich culture, music, and spectacular landscapes. Travelers can expect an authentic mix of national parks, waterfalls, deserts, beaches, and seven diverse regions – from the capital city of Luanda to the rainforests of Cabinda.
“It is a great pleasure and honor to be able to present Angola for the first time in Stuttgart on the main tourism stage and to so many interested trade fair visitors,” says Julia Kleber, CEO of the Kleber Group and representative of the Angola Tourism Board. At the CMT, travel enthusiasts can delve deeper into the world of Angola. For example, the audience will be treated to daily performances by dancers and the hot rhythms of Kizomba on the main stage.
Discover the country and people of Peru
Anyone considering a vacation in South America can find inspiration in Peru. The country captivates visitors with spectacular natural landscapes, such as Machu Picchu, the Amazon rainforest, and Lake Titicaca, as well as vibrant culture and unique cuisine. Authentic encounters with local communities and the protection of nature and cultural heritage make Peru truly special. “To experience the real Peru, visitors should approach the country with curiosity, respect, and a sense of responsibility. Supporting artisans, choosing family-run accommodations, and respecting cultural and natural spaces is essential,” says María Del Sol Velásquez of PROMPERÚ. At the CMT, visitors can gain exciting insights into the country, receive personalized advice, or book their dream vacation directly.
Explore impressive art, architecture, and diverse landscapes. Through a partnership, the Grand Tour de Catalunya will be showcased from its various perspectives. It comprises five stages, each including coastal sections as well as parts of the hinterland or mountain regions. The fair will feature two daily presentations about the Grand Tour, providing details on the stages, activities, and highlights of the route. A VR (Virtual Reality) experience will allow visitors to immersively experience the Grand Tour, and tastings of vermouth, wine, and cava will offer a chance to discover the region's culinary diversity. Information materials, maps, and personalized recommendations round out the offerings. "Spring and autumn are particularly appealing times to enjoy the mild climate, nature in full bloom, and fewer tourists. These seasons offer the perfect opportunity to combine outdoor activities, cultural visits, and culinary experiences," says Montserrat Sierra, Director of the Catalan Tourist Board - Central Europe.
CMT - Holidays in the Mountains and the Region
Those seeking fascinating destinations within Germany will find inspiration at the "Dream Destinations Baden-Württemberg" event. Under this motto, the Lake Constance, Swabian Alb, Black Forest, Tourism, and Upper Swabia regions will present themselves on various themed days. The regions will showcase their latest innovations at the CMT trade fair. In addition, there will be prize draws, a podcast, and various extras each day.
Fans of mountain holidays will also find plenty to enjoy at the CMT. Representatives from Austria, the Allgäu region, Ticino, and South Tyrol will present a wide range of offers. Among them is Alpbachtal Tourism with the Alpbachtal holiday region in Tyrol. The area, with its 10 villages, is one of Austria's most pristine Alpine valleys. The Alpbachtal offers sports enthusiasts a wide range of activities: in summer, there are summit hikes, gorge trails, whitewater sports, and bike tours. In winter, the region transforms into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts thanks to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, with its 113 kilometers of slopes and numerous mountain huts.
