The lowest point in Bavaria with 100 m is the water level of the Main in Kahl am Main (Lower Franconia), the highest at the summit of the Zugspitze (2962 m), the highest German mountain in the Wetterstein Mountains. All 30 of Germany's highest mountain peaks are in the Bavarian Alps, concentrated in the Wetterstein Mountains, in the Berchtesgaden Alps and the Allgäu Alps. The highest Bavarian peaks in the Berchtesgaden Alps are the Watzmann (2713 m) and in the Allgäu Alps the Hochfrottspitze (2649 m).
Already in 555 AD the older Bavarian tribal duchy was documented, which became part of the Franconian domain under the Merovingians. Under the Carolingians, a Bavarian kingship emerged for the first time, which they either ruled as kings or sub-kings, or appointed governors.

Mainbernheim - We used our tour through the town of Mainbernheim near Kitzingen not just to explore the medieval fortifications of the city, of course, as well to look at the Christmas customs and Christmas decor, which is found in the windows, at the doors and many facades of the house.
Kitzingen - In contrast to the past few years, the Christmas market in Kitzingen should be limited to one weekend anymore, but the motto still is "Kitzingen glows", we were interested and still lack of time able to go, so we passed on the old Main bridge on Saturday evening again.

We had already completed the already mentioned visit of our main sponsor and supporter Fendt-Caravan within the project "A journey of Intimacy and Culture along the Roman Roads" due to the upcoming TUV appointment and the gas prove of the project caravan, and fixed further intermediate targets for the return journey to the south.

Despite the never-ending winter in the Balkans, Austria and Germany, some important dates and planning made it necessary to start the journey from Antalya back to Kitzingen.

As part of our project "Comprehension and Cultural Journey along Roman Roads" we came to Regensburg (Castra Regina) again to support the further preparation of the "1st German-Turkish Literature and Encounter Festival Regensburg".
We also wanted to use the visit to the exhibition of the best press photos in Kitzingen to visit the Carnival Museum, which only opened in November 2013 in the new building in the Main Franconian city, after all it is the official museum of the German Carnival Association.
During a visit to Kitzingen during the past year we had also driven up the nearby Schwanberg to take some photos of the vines and the surrounding countryside.

The invitation from the Aschaffenburg Court Library and Amnesty International to read poems by the poet Nevfel Cumart, who lives in Bamberg, brought us to Schloss Johannisburg in Aschaffenburg.
During our exploratory trip through Franconian Switzerland, we also came to the village of Pottenstein, which is best known for its stalactite cave with the somewhat eerie name "Devil's Cave".
Two appointments prompted us to travel to Marktheidenfeld, the town where the German Association for the Environment and Nature Conservation was founded in 1975.
