Caravan Salon Düsseldorf – Many New Models for Beginners
- Written by Portal Editor
Caravan Salon Dusseldorf - When fair opens its doors to visitors for the 65th time on August 28, it will once again underscore its status as the world's largest trade fair for mobile leisure.
From August 28 (Preview Day) to September 6, over 830 exhibitors will present a host of innovations. Across 15 halls and the outdoor area, the latest caravans, motorhomes, and campervans along with accessories, conversion components, tents, and mobile homes await interested visitors, as do holiday destinations and sites for camping and motorhomes. Numerous renowned exhibitors have already announced their new products ahead of the fair.
Trends among the new releases are moving in two distinct directions for both caravans and motorhomes. On one hand, there are new models in both vehicle classes aimed at price-conscious customers: these caravans are becoming more compact, focusing on the essentials, and consequently becoming lighter. As a result, an increasing number of caravans are suitable for towing by electric vehicles. The corresponding motorhomes also feature simpler specifications, aiming for an attractive entry-level price. In some cases, both compact caravans and compact van conversions forgo sanitary facilities to achieve this. "Compact, lightweight, and focused on the essentials" could well be the headline here.
At the same time, the range of models offering greater comfort and increased self-sufficiency is growing in both vehicle classes which inevitably results in greater weight. Notable examples among motorhomes include an increased number of all-wheel-drive models and spacious bathrooms, while caravans feature large models with winter-ready specifications such as underfloor heating. In terms of comfort, induction cooktops along with the powerful, independent power supply systems required to run them are becoming increasingly common in both caravans and motorhomes. Self-sufficiency is becoming a key topic for comfort-oriented caravans as well. "Greater comfort and independence" could be the fitting motto here. Experience from previous years shows that many additional highlights are only unveiled at the start of the trade fair. Consequently, visitors to CARAVAN SALON 2026 can expect even more new models than the 249 listed below in alphabetical order:

A 600-litre diesel tank and a 500-litre fresh water tank provide enough capacity for even desert crossings. The rooftop solar system generates 2,100 watts and feeds a battery system with a capacity of 1,500 Ah at 24 volts.
