Augsburg - From June 5 to 16, the Gaswerk grounds in Augsburg are once again bustling with activity, featuring over 250 live acts across four stages and three halls, alongside a large international market.

The Augsburg band Grisworld
The Augsburg band "Grisworld" drew a crowd for their 5:00 PM performance on the KUKI stage.
Always known for a bit of onstage chaos, Grisworld impressed the audience with a truly successful live performance.

Graffiti can be art, too
After that set, we headed first to the "Kunst grenzenlos" (Art Without Borders) exhibition in the “Apparatehaus” where students from the Linz University of Art were guests at the “Kulturpark” and then on to the graffiti battle, where highly skilled graffiti artists showcased their work on the walls.

Next up on the Acoustic Stage was "Nily Nils" from Hanover; renowned for his improvisational talent, he possesses a keen sense for comic situations.

Immediately following Nily Nils's show, the group "Die 3 Herren" took to the Acoustic Stage; the artists introduce themselves and much more in a unique didgeridoo music show that is truly one of a kind.

We then moved on to the main stage the Arena located right next to the Gaswerk, which was themed "Kiss meets Metallica" for the day.

The evening's highlight was undoubtedly the Kiss tribute band "Kiss on Fire," who won over the fans with classic Kiss songs; plenty of pyrotechnics and a fantastic stage show rounded out the experience.

Finally, the “Reiniger Haus” beckoned with the "Rap im Ring" event, where up-and-coming rappers could compete against their peers. A vibrant festival of cultures, as both the audience and the artists hailed from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds a diversity reflected in the culinary offerings as well.
