Zurich's favorite markets – most beloved market Bürkliplatz

The most delicious products and specialties, the connoisseur, restaurant owner or amateur cook can buy at one of the countless weekly markets or in the farm shops in and around Zurich, this was announced by our friend Beat.

One more reason to pursue this claim during our walks.

Weekly markets have a long tradition both in the city and in the Zurich region. Here you will find fresh vegetables, the best meat from the local farmers and bread that comes straight from the oven. Thanks to excellent products, the markets are the source of inspiration and the shopping place of many Zurich restaurant owners. The products are directly sourced from the market by many chefs and end up as splendid menus in the plates of the restaurants in the city and around Lake Zurich. A visit to the farms in the area is worthwhile, because often here the fresh goods in so-called farm shops are offered for sale.

The vegetable and flower market on the Bürkliplatz is a must for lovers of herbs, seasonal and regional vegetables as well as specialties from the farms in the area. In addition, the "Bürklimäärt" is known for beautiful cut flowers in almost every season, with which you can surprise your loved ones. The market at the end of the Bahnhofstrasse is idyllically situated between chestnut trees and Lake Zurich, so a visit can be well combined with a walk along the lake.
