From Berlin Airport – a stopover at the "Fliegerhütte"
Our transfer to Antalya Airport and the return flight to Berlin had started early in the morning, so our arrival time in Berlin reflected that schedule, despite the time zone difference.
Next, we needed to arrange a shuttle to the lot where our car was parked, pick up the vehicle, and begin the drive home a process that went very smoothly.
We knew we wanted to make a stopover somewhere to keep the drive home as stress-free and unhurried as possible, so we went online to look for a suitable spot.
We happened to discover a place with an interesting setting and homemade food, located about 12 kilometres off the highway: the "Bistro zur Fliegerhütte," which promised homemade dishes at reasonable prices.
We followed the GPS and were surprised to find that the route to the airfield and thus the Fliegerhütte was "merely" a narrow, unpaved, sandy farm track; still, since we were already on our way...
We were delighted to find a seat right by the airfield, watch the activity, and be welcomed by a young man the son of the owner, who was also the cook. A small family-run business.
Our order was taken, and the food was freshly prepared and served—delicious and satisfying; what more could you ask for? Once again, a great choice, even if it was a bit off the beaten path. A fantastic experience.
