Completely different from the usual tradition that the Christmas markets almost close on Christmas Eve everywhere, we were amazed that at least a large number of small Christmas markets were still open during our visit to Erfurt.

It's that time again, the year 2019 is coming to an end and so Christmas is approaching considerably. We wanted to use the Sunday afternoon to look at the local Christmas markets.

Of course, we had come to Warsaw with great interest in the caravan fair and had immediately come to appreciate the excellent organization with regard to our registration, the parking situation and the helpfulness of the staff.

Like last year, we were again in Bern at the largest Swiss exhibition for camping and caravanning, which seeks to infect their visitors again with the contagious fever for mobile travel and camping.

Old- and Young-timer are probably everywhere an eye-catcher in the world, so of course in the field of camping and leisure industry, even often still had to improvise because of lack of material and money on their expansion.

Once again, we are in Rewa on the Puck Bay, a bay of the Baltic Sea in Poland, which has a number of sandy beaches and attracts tourists even in the fall. The bay and village have become a local center for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

We were aware of an event by engine noises, which is probably to be described as typical English: despite the pouring rain, a group of racing fans gathered at the campsite in Winchcombe together with their vehicles.

Even the initial image is probably meaningful enough, if someone should ask, where we are right now. But it is not one of the German bicycle strongholds like Münster, Oldenburg or Trier.

We were traveling to England, the ferry from Calais was booked in advance and the customs and import control by British authorities quickly done. The embarkation was without significant disturbances - well organized.

Several times we were guests in Rottweil, sometimes on flying by to visit in the Roman Museum, then just on the transit along the Roman road Neckar-Alb-Aare. Far too little attention has been paid to the historically imposing, medieval city center.

We are in Wels - a little more detailed: We are going to visit the Austrian trade fair and exclusive order platform for bicycle and accessories in the Exhibition Center Wels in Hall 21, which this year took place from 17 to 20 August 2019.

We had come to the fair "Fahrrad Order Tage" in Wels and parked our caravan directly on the fairground. After another long drive, our first goal was to explore the immediate area with a short walk across the fairground.

The search for a place to stay next to the Ammersee had directed us to the monastery Andechs on Bavaria's holy mountain with the famous Benedictine monastery and the no less famous Bräustüberl / local brewery and pub with famous Andechs beer.

Who has not heard of the Neandertal, the significant site of the remains of our human predecessor homo sapiens neandertalensis so far to the north, confronted with the ice ages and barren living conditions?

A short hike in Vienna had again led us to the Danube Island, which is a 21.1 km long and up to 250 m wide artificial island between the Danube and the New Danube in the city of Vienna and Klosterneuburg.

Especially when the weather is nice, cycling tours in and around Cologne are very popular. In addition, cycling to destinations of particularly interesting sights, they also offer the possibility of using paved bike paths as well as off-road biking, everything the cyclist's heart desires.

Once again it had moved us to Bremen, this time the reason of our visit was a removal within the family. An opportunity for an evening walk through the world-famous Böttcherstraße to the town hall.

A friend's visit had taken us to the village of Avenches, not far from Lake Murten in Switzerland, where in the afternoon we could take a long walk along the beach path under shady trees.
