Our company has been growing steadily for more than 35 years. In addition to the expansion of a first-class range of accessories and the development of high-quality products under the label "Frankana Freiko Collection", strengthening the specialist trade and campsite operators is particularly important to us.

German Caravanning Trade Association (DCHV) – Honoured at Frankana Freiko

A few days ago, we were honoured at the DCHV (German Caravanning Trade Association) general meeting – together with Fendt Caravan and Eura Mobil – for over 30 years of supporting membership.

We are delighted with this recognition and sincerely thank the DCHV for their trust and long-standing partnership.

CUPE - makes camping strong!

In order to ensure the life of the camping program CUPE for Europe, in 2017 we started the project.

CUPE supports camping and parking space operators in the areas of marketing and sales.

The support is tailored to the individual needs and wishes of the site operator, but of course also depends on the respective campsite structure and location.

The offer of the CUPE team is very diverse and ranges from the organization of events to advertising measures to consulting in the field of campsite design and management.

German Camping Award presented to Klaus Büttner

The German Camping Award was conceived in the late 1960s by the City of Essen, the German Camping Club (DCC), and Messe Essen (Essen Trade Fair) and is presented at the Essen Spring Fair. It recognizes individuals, organizations, and institutions that have made significant contributions to camping. The DCC is a club dedicated to supporting and promoting camping in Germany. In cooperation with international camping clubs from around the world, its activities also focus on Europe, with the following priorities:

• Consulting on camping tourism, camping vehicles, and tents
• Joint meetings and events at some of Germany's most beautiful campsites
• Information exchange among camping enthusiasts

In-house exhibition at Frankana Freiko in November 2025

The beginning of autumn is a special time for everyone!

Thanks to the informative exchange of ideas with dealers and campsite operators at trade fairs and events, Frankana Freiko always has her finger on the pulse and can therefore also respond specifically to customer requests when expanding the range.

As early as the beginning of the 1980s, five former employees of the caravan manufacturer KNAUS got together, founded Frankana and brought all their specialist knowledge to the Franconian company. Today, Frankana is one of Europe's leading wholesalers in the camping and leisure accessories industry, together with its sister company Freiko.

• In the early 1980s, Frankana was founded as a trading company for camping and caravanning in Marktbreit, Lower Franconia. It soon became apparent to retailers that a competent and reliable partner is working here.
• This resulted in a steadily growing order volume in the wholesale segment. In 1990 the sister company Freiko was founded.

The Frankana Freiko Group is one of the leading wholesalers in the camping and leisure accessories industry. The group now has around 200 employees serving more than 1,400 specialist retail customers worldwide. The headquarters of the two sister companies Frankana and Freiko today is Gollhofen. In recent years, two modern administration buildings and warehouses with a total of 19,800 square meters of storage space have been built here. In order to be able to better serve the growing volume in parcel shipping, Frankana branch was established in 1993 in the green center of Germany in Rudolstadt, Thuringia. In addition to the wholesale business, it continues to serve the end customer locally as well - recreational vehicles and accessories are sold in the old branch in Marktbreit. Every year we present ourselves together with FRANKANA at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf and at the CMT in Stuttgart. We only supply specialist retailers with accessories. After all, the consumer (i.e. the camper, caravanner or mobile home owner) is "the most important link in the sales chain" - he decides on the success or failure of a product with his demands and ideas. For this reason, customers will be advised by expert staff at the trade fair stand in Düsseldorf. On the other hand, the associated specialist retailers are supported by an intensive training and consulting concept and by the provision of extensive sales materials, the core of which is the annual 800-page main catalog. The future in view is one in the online business also in cooperation with the specialized trade to expand by here appropriate IT sales tools provided in an online shop concept.
