The Bourazani region is a vast hilly area in the northwestern part of the Ioannina district of Aoos, surrounded by the mountains of Grammos, Tymphi and Nemersika.

Near the border with Albania with a small, daytime border crossing an ideal location for exploring the nearby Pindos Mountains, because it is only a few kilometers to the entrance of the hiking areas at Konitsa and thus the world-famous Vikos Gorge.
Quiet paths and roads in the small villages by bike or on foot, monasteries and Byzantine monuments testify to the existence of people for several centuries, not least to explore the famous arched bridges are worthwhile destinations.

In our museum you have the opportunity to see all kinds of plants, orchids, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians, dragonflies and Orthoptera, which were observed in the area of Bourazani, in photo shoots. You can also see all the fish species that exist in the Aoos River.
The watermill, a preindustrial monument for milling and washing, is still used. A small path next to the mill leads to the river Aoos (travel guide available). Unique view of the meanders of the river and the erosion of the earth.
